The Coral Sea Islands Territory is an external territory of Australia which comprises a group of small and mostly uninhabited tropical islands and reefs located north east of Queensland. The only inhabited island is Willis Island.
The Coral seas remote and isolated Reefs such as Cato, Frederick and Wreck with exceptional clarity for diving and snorkelling also offer some great fishing sites for both shallow and deep- water reef fishing from one of the five tenders available to our guests, you are also able to drift fishing from the Eastern Voyager. Travel time, weather dependant to reach these more remote areas can be up to 30+ hours from port, located up to 260 nautical miles from the port of Gladstone. Fish species targeted in these areas are Big dogtooth tuna, yellow fin tuna, GT’s, green job fish and Coral Trout and many more species are all there to challenge the keen angler.
